The Beginning
Carlos Gomez and his wife Annie started American Vintage Barbershop after Carlos had been practicing the art of barbering for nearly 7 years. After years of learning and mastering his craft, he wanted to take the next step in the world of barbering and they decided it was time to open up his own shop. His vision was to create a shop that had a classic touch with a modern feel, as a result was American Vintage Barbershop was established. Along side his talented crew he has created a barbershop where everyone is welcome and is able to receive top notch service. After running a successful barbershop in Long Beach, he decided to take another shot in the city of Whittier, Annie’s Hometown. In 2014 they successfully opened their second location. Unfortunately, we lost Carlos in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2015. With a lot of strength and determination, Annie continues to keep his legacy alive by keeping the doors open and business running as he would have liked.
